Fees & Payment Info

I believe that understanding the financial side of therapy shouldn't feel confusing or stressful. Here's a clear breakdown of how my practice works so you can make the best decision for yourself.

Private Pay

My practice is primarily private pay. This means you pay for sessions directly, and I don't bill your insurance on your behalf. Many clients find this approach offers more flexibility, privacy, and continuity in their care — without insurance companies having a say in your treatment.

Session fee: $225 Payment is due at the time of service.

Superbills & Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If you have out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be able to get reimbursed for a significant portion of our session costs. I provide monthly superbills — itemized receipts with all the information your insurance needs — that you can submit directly to your insurer for reimbursement.

Not sure if you have out-of-network benefits? Before reaching out, I'd encourage you to call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much have I met?

  • What percentage of the session fee will I be reimbursed after my deductible is met?

This quick call can give you a much clearer picture of your actual out-of-pocket costs.

Insurance

I am credentialed with a limited number of insurance plans through Headway. At this time, I am not accepting new insurance-based clients. If you are an existing client using insurance through Headway, nothing changes for you.

If you're hoping to use insurance and are flexible about providers, Psychology Today's therapist directory is a great resource for finding in-network clinicians in your area.
